AnyPower Limited – Ethical Trading Policy

At AnyPower Limited, we are committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This Ethical Trading Policy sets out the principles that guide our company and our suppliers in maintaining fair, transparent, and sustainable business practices, particularly when importing from China and other overseas partners.

1. Purpose

This policy ensures that AnyPower Limited:

• Sources responsibly and ethically.

• Respects human rights across our supply chain.

• Operates with integrity in all markets.

• Promotes environmental sustainability and responsible manufacturing.

2. Compliance with Law

• We comply with all UK and international laws relating to trade, employment, human rights, and product safety.

• All imported products must meet UKCA/CE compliance standards and relevant UK legislation for electrical goods.

• We adhere to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and require our suppliers to do the same.

3. Labour Standards

We align with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code:

1. Employment is freely chosen – No forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.

2. Freedom of association – Workers are free to join unions and engage in collective bargaining.

3. Safe working conditions – A healthy, safe, and compliant working environment must be provided.

4. No child labour – Workers must be at or above the legal minimum age for employment.

5. Fair wages – Wages must meet or exceed legal minimum standards in the country of manufacture.

6. Reasonable working hours – Overtime must be voluntary and compensated fairly.

7. No discrimination – Equality of treatment regardless of gender, race, religion, or background.

8. Regular employment – Contracts must be legal, recognised, and transparent.

4. Anti-Corruption and Fair Business

• We operate a zero-tolerance policy on bribery and corruption.

• All transactions must be conducted honestly, transparently, and with accurate records.

• Gifts, hospitality, or incentives must not be used to secure unfair advantage.

5. Environmental Responsibility

• Suppliers must comply with local and international environmental regulations.

• We encourage reduced energy use, waste minimisation, and responsible material sourcing.

• Packaging should be minimised and recyclable wherever possible.

• Hazardous materials must be safely handled, stored, and disposed of.

6. Supply Chain Transparency

• We conduct due diligence on suppliers and require cooperation in audits or assessments.

• Suppliers must disclose details of their own sourcing and subcontracting to ensure traceability.

• We avoid suppliers that engage in unethical practices such as modern slavery, unsafe labour, or counterfeit goods.

7. Accountability and Continuous Improvement

• We expect all employees, contractors, and suppliers to uphold this policy.

• Breaches of this policy may result in corrective action, termination of contracts, or reporting to authorities.

• We work collaboratively with suppliers to improve standards where necessary.

8. Governance

This policy is owned by the Directors of AnyPower Limited and reviewed annually. It forms part of our contractual framework with suppliers and partners.
